13-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder in fatal stabbing in Aurora

A 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder by the Aurora Police Department after officers found a man with multiple stab wounds to his torso in south Aurora on Sunday night, according to a news release from the department.

The man, identified as 40-year-old Dominic Robinson, was found by officers responding to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex in the 16000 block of East Easter Circle in south Aurora at approximately 9 p.m. Sunday. When the officers arrived on the scene, they saw him lying unresponsive in the hallway.

Officers performed lifesaving actions on Robinson until medical responders arrived, and he was rushed to a local hospital where he died of his injuries, the release noted.

The suspect, a 13-year-old boy, was at the scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody. He is not being identified due to his age.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
