After a couple more days of warm weather, Denver will see a big drop in temperatures Friday with a cold front that will likely bring snow to the metro area.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Boulder expect Denver to get near-record warmth Wednesday, with a high of 68 degrees likely. the daily record is 73 degrees.

Thursday will see similar warm temperatures with a high of 64 degrees, then the cold front starts to move in Thursday night.

There is a 30% chance of snow then, but accumulations will likely be less than half an inch.

Friday is when the main snow will come, with a 90% chance in Denver, but forecasters are still narrowing down exactly how much snow will fall and where the most will be.

Generally, accumulations will likely be less than advisory amounts.
