U.S. Marshals in Colorado, in collaboration with the Glendale Police Department, arrested a fugitive wanted on a first-degree murder charge for allegedly killing a man in Washington, D.C., in Englewood on Monday night, according to a social media post from the U.S. Marshals Service Denver.

Eliexander Lopez-Burgos was on the run after allegedly shooting an individual in the head after an altercation in the parking lot of an Exxon gas station in D.C. on Nov. 16, said Deputy U.S. Marshal Andrew Gallagher in a phone call Tuesday.

Gallagher added that the information that led to the arrest was developed by several law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Marshals Service and the Capitol Area Fugitive Task Force in conjunction with the D.C. Metro Police Department, that passed along information that the dark Astro Van Lopes-Burgos was driving was spotted in Colorado.

Lopez-Burgos was arrested near the intersection of Leetsdale Drive and South Cherry Street in Englewood on Monday.
