Loveland’s Budweiser Events Center, which has had a local connection in Fort Collins’ Anheuser-Busch brewery for the past two decades, is changing its name to Blue Arena

It’s titled after Blue Federal Credit Union, which has secured the naming rights starting in October 2023, according to a Wednesday announcement. The update will comes with $5 million in improvements, including renovated suites and an updated interior bowl.

The changes precede a season that will see concerts by Tool and Billy Idol, the Colorado Eagles American League Hockey Team, and Larimer County’s PRCA Rodeo, among dozens of others.

Larimer County and OVG360, a venue management company, did not disclose the price but said “the multimillion 10-year partnership was created and executed by OVG Global Partnerships … This is a natural fit given that Blue is expanding rapidly into Fort Collins, Loveland, and other northern Colorado communities.”

Budweiser’s name has adorned the 6,800-capacity arena, at 5290 Arena Circile, since it opened in 2003, hosting roughly 7 million guests across concerts, stand-up shows, rodeos, conventions and more, according to a press statement. The arena is part of Larimer County’s larger Ranch Events Complex.
